The product presents a serious risk of fire and electric shock as the as the plug does not meet the constructional or dimensional requirements of BS 1363. The live and neutral pins were found to be too close together, and too close to the periphery of the plug. As the plug does not make a proper connection with the socket, it could overheat and cause a fire. The user could also receive an electric shock when inserting or removing the plug from the socket. Improvements are required to the product’s markings.
