The product presents a high risk of fire as the mains plug did not meet the marking requirements of BS 1363 and was not fitted with a fuse link which conforms to BS 1362. The mains supply cord was too thin for the intended loads, had excessive resistance and was protected by an incorrectly rated fuse link. The product was not designed in such a way to ensure that temperatures that can cause a danger are not produced.
