The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the product is not adequately earthed. If the cord deteriorates over time, this could lead to either the product becoming live, or the inadequate fusing causing the product to catch fire. The gland on the floodlight did not successfully clamp the cord. Any pulling or twisting of the cord caused a movement that placed a strain on the terminals. The instructions were considered to be inadequate as they did not contain sufficient information to ensure the correct and safe use of the equipment. Some of the required documentation and markings were not present.
