The fuse provided in the product plug was not supplied with any granular filler. The filler is required to ensure the safe operation of the fuse under fault conditions. Therefore, if a fault were to occur, the product could overheat and cause a fire. The fuse was also shorter and thinner than required, and had end caps which were not secured.
