The ‘jewel’ detached at a force of 12.0 ± 0.1 Newtons (N), i.e. less than the minimum of 90 N specified for toys intended for children under 3 years of age. A screen test carried out on the thickness of the bag indicated that it was less than the minimum required of 0.038mm, which presents a potential asphyxiation hazard to the intended consumer.
