The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as it features a poor earth connection and a counterfeit plug face. During testing it was identified that the earth connection could be undone externally, did not have any star washers and had been terminated from the motor housing. The plug is not considered to be a genuine BS 1363 plug due to the lack of required markings. No declaration of conformity was supplied with the product and the user instructions were found to be missing important information that ensures the safe use of the product. Some of the required documentation and markings were not present.
