The product poses a serious risk of damage to sight (retinal damage) because the laser does not incorporate the built-in safety feature of a key operated master control. This is a requirement of Class 3B lasers. United Kingdom Health Security Agency recommends that Class 3B laser products are not suitable for general use intended for public. Furthermore, the laser does not comply with the marking requirements of the relevant standard (BS EN 60825-1:2014+A11:2021).
