FOLO-UP Product Safety Report: 2111-0030 Haas Automation Inc Enclosure Exhaust System
The enclosure exhaust system is on optional extra which can be fitted to CNC (computer numerically controlled) machines such as mills and lathes which use metal working fluid during the cutting process, which generates a mist inside the machine enclosure. The enclosure exhaust system clears this mist from the enclosure to aid observation of the process.

The enclosure exhaust system extracts metalworking fluid / water mix aerosol from the enclosure to the workplace atmosphere where it can be breathed in. Inhalation of metalworking fluid mist can cause lung diseases such as occupational asthma. There is no effective filtration of the hazardous substances.
