The product presents a risk as it is possible for the connecting rotator screw component in some cylinder locks within the affected models to loosen within the cylinder during use. This could cause the lock to fail and could result in the lock not functioning from the inside of the door to which it is attached, although it will still function from the outside of the door. This contributes towards a potential fire safety hazard.
