FOLO-UP Product Recall: 2403-0189 3M™ 5E 11 Face Shield
3M™ 5E-11 Face Shield which provides protection against UV, IR (heat) and/or intense visible light. The visor is clipped into a 3M face shield holder and fitted to a 3M Industrial Safety Helmet.
Why this product was flagged
Recorded hazard
During high-speed particle impact testing conducted in accordance with EN 166 for B-marked face shields, some 5E-11 Face shields (with a manufacture date of December 2021) were breaking. The breaking occurred at 120 m/s when impacted on the side(s) of the face shield only.
