The plug does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS1363‑1:2016+A1:2018, which means that contact with the live pin is possible when the plug is inserted or removed from a socket. This presents a serious risk of electric shock. The plug is also unfused, which gives rise to the risk of fire when the product is connected to power.
