The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the earthing point to the product was considered inadequate as it was a rivet that had not been clamped correctly. Thus, the earth terminal could be rotated by hand and was not considered reliable. The product also failed the electrical strength test and breakdown occurred before the full test voltage was applied and breakdown was instantaneous. After separating the LED driver unit from the product, the driver was tested in isolation with the filter capacitor removed. It still broke down instantaneously between live/neutral and earth.
