The product presents a high risk of electric shock as the mains plug did not meet the markings and dimensional requirements of BS 1363 and was also not fitted with a fuse link which conforms to BS 1362. The equipment was not protected against producing temperatures more than limits imposed by the Standard, and there was no secondary security such as a split washer or star-washer fitted to the earth terminals to prevent from accidental loosening.
