The plug presents a high risk of electric shock as the face does not confirm to the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. The height of the live and neutral pin sleeves were in excess of the maximum permitted tolerance. This means that with repeated use, the plug will increasingly fail to make a secure connection with the socket, and the user could accidentally touch a live part. Improvements are also required to the product marking, labelling and documentation.
