The product presents a serious chemical risk as, following analysis, the liquid was found to contain 9.9% w/w hydroquinone and 0.04% clobetasol propionate, both of which are not permitted to be used in cosmetics. Hydroquinone is a skin sensitiser and may cause allergic contact dermatitis. Clobetasol propionate is a Glucocorticoid (Corticosteroid) and exposure to it may cause skin irritation.
