Recorded hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the requirements for class II construction had not been met. The wiring was in contact with the on-off switch casing. Whilst this casing was plastic it had been covered in a conductive chrome coating. Thus, there were live parts separated from accessible conductive parts only by basic insulation. The product is also not marked with required markings.
