The product presents a serious risk of injuries as when tested its strength and rigidity were found to be insufficient. At the preconditioning stage of testing, the top rung end caps and locking catches ruptured on two rungs, the release indicator and locking mechanism broke on four rungs and there was permanent deformation in rungs around locking mechanisms. Furthermore, the ladder failed the test requirements of the relevant standard (BS EN 131-6:2019) in relation to the dimensional and functionality requirements.
