The product presents a serious risk of injuries as, at the preconditioning stage of testing, the top rung end caps and locking catches ruptured the rung brackets of one rung ruptured. The release indicator and locking mechanism broke on one rung and there was permanent deformation in rungs around locking mechanisms. Furthermore, the ladder failed the test requirements of the relevant standard (BS EN 131-6:2019) in relation to the dimensional and functionality requirements.
