It has been identified that a small number of Yoto Minis contained a battery that overheated when at a high state of charge, posing a potential burn or fire hazard.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

Corrective Action

Modification programme.

Consumers were initially contacted about this matter in April 2024, where affected consumers were offered a free replacement smart charging cable. Yoto are now undertaking further corrective action, offering consumers who purchased a Yoto Mini between 2021 and 2023 a free replacement battery to further mitigate the potential fire risk.
