Description
The F1 Low Approach Slide Bed is vehicle mounted machinery used in the recovery of casualty vehicles. The slide bed is hydraulically powered. Models produced since 07 September 2021 (including Model 4T-AF1) feature a green auto-tilt lever which controls upward tilting of the slide bed for use during deployment.

Risk Level: High
The product presents a high risk of injuries due to the green auto-tilt lever. This lever operates a hydraulic ram to raise and tilt the slide bed during deployment. When the Green Lever is released, the bed does not hold in the raised position and falls under its own weight back to the chassis. The tilt system is also not fitted with devices to prevent a gravity fall or uncontrolled movement in the event of hydraulic failure. A risk of serious injury to operators and other persons may arise from impact with the slide bed, or from crushing between the slide bed and vehicle chassis and other fixed structures such as storage lockers.
