Risk Level: Serious
The magnetic dart set presents a serious risk of injuries as when tested, the magnet was easily detached after the torque test and fitted entirely inside the small parts cylinder. Testing concluded that the magnetic flux is 16 times
greater than permitted in EN71 Part 1 of the toy’s safety standard. This presents a serious risk as the magnets can be swallowed which can result in physical internal damage if they attract inside the intestine. The plastic bag
used for packaging also has an area greater area than 100mm x 100mm and the bag thickness measured at 0.0022mm, which is less than the minimum required amount of 0.038mm. The bag therefore also poses a potential asphyxiation hazard.
