- The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as it is too small for a standard UK socket, and the plug pins are too close to the edge of the plug. The user could receive an electric shock when unplugging, or plugging in, the plug from the socket. It is also possible to insert a single current-carrying pin, leaving the other live pin accessible. The adaptor was also insufficiently earthed, presenting a risk of fire.
