Products are supplied individually in cardboard boxes with polystyrene inner. Boxes are marked with a sticky label that has the model number on them and a battery warning label.

The batteries present a serious risk of electric shock as when tested, the plug face did not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. The distances from the edge of the live and neutral pins to the edge of the plug face were less than the required 9.5mm and measured at 7.6mm, presenting an electric shock hazard to users. The fuse did not contain any ballast as is required by the standard and is considered counterfeit. The fuse presents potential hazards of electric shock/fire/explosion when used in a product.

Corrective Action

The product has been recalled from end users. Consumers are advised to return complete product (battery and supplied charger) to the store it was purchased from for a full refund.
