- The product presents a serious risk of fire as it is fitted with a cloverleaf plug, which does not comply with BS 1363. The plug has no fuse, and the supply cord has an insufficient cross-sectional area. If there was a fault with the product, or a surge in electrical current, the plug may spark and catch fire. These types of plugs can also cause damage to electrical sockets which may also lead to internal sparking. Some of the required documentation and markings were not present.
