Description

The LT13 conveyor is an incline belt conveyor, designed and constructed to articulate with the exit end of a box or tray forming machine. The conveyor is integrated into the box or tray forming machine’s operating system, and does not operate independently.

The primary hazard presented by the LT13 conveyor is the risk of entanglement with rotating parts, including the idle roller at the exit end of the machine. The risk was highlighted by an incident in which a worker’s arm became entangled with the idle roller.

Corrective Action

The machine manufacturer in Italy has developed a fixed guard for the exit end of the conveyor, which is available to GB customers as an optional retrofit. Please contact your supplier for redress.
