Risk Level: Low
CSG has received reports of damage to the bicycle headtube/downtube weld, resulting in the downtube detaching from the bicycle frame. The bicycles have a weld securing the bicycle down tube to the bicycle fork. The bottom of the bicycle down tube and the gusset are both supposed to be welded to the head tube. In affected frames, only the bicycle gusset is welded to the bicycle head tube, resulting in only one lower weld to the bicycle head tube and a resultant decrease in the strength the bicycle head tube to down tube junction. This can lead to the downtube detaching when the bicycle is being used, presenting a risk of falls injuries to the user.
Corrective Action
